Genesis Global receives fine in the millions

Gambling operator and provider Genesis Global Limited has once again come under the scanner of the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC). After thorough investigations into various violations, the company was fined GBP 3.8 million by the UK Gambling Association. Furthermore, the online casino provider's license was temporarily revoked until various gambling requirements were met again. First and foremost, the charges relate to violations of player protection and the Anti-Money Laundering Act.

Genesis Global does not care about player protection

Just yesterday, we reported on a perfidious lottery scammer who managed to scam his way into a million-dollar prize. In today's article, however, a gambling company is the focus of the story because extensive investigations have shown that there was a serious disregard for the regulations on player protection in several cases. Several cases became known where Genesis Global Limited knew about the gamblers' deposit amount and annual earnings and still did not intervene. In some cases, online casino customers played Andar Bahar online game and deposited a multiple of their annual salary within 1-3 months without Genesis Global contacting the problem gamblers.

Furthermore, there were also several suspicious cases connected to the Anti-Money Laundering Act. Here, the gambling company reacted too late to ask for proof of the money. The best example of this is a customer who had deposited £1.3 million and lost a whopping 600,000 of it. Only then did Genesis Global intervene and demand proof of the contributions paid in. However, these could not prove the origin of the money in the end. Another case was with another customer who had gambled away 209,000 GBP. However, Genesis Global knew that his annual salary was 111,000 GBP, but the gambling company later claimed the money receipts.

Genesis Global does not care about player protection

As several cases show, the company does not seem to care about player protection. Among others, an NHS nurse with 30,000 GBP annual earnings could gamble away 245,000 GBP within three months. Nevertheless, there was no intervention on the part of the online casino operator, who obviously does not care about player protection. Another customer gambled away almost 200,000 GBP within six months. Subsequently, he closed his gambling account, opened a new one, and directly deposited 200 GBP. Another gambling customer even gambled away 234,000 GBP within six months. Nevertheless, there was no intervention from the gambling company.

Genesis Global receives fine in the millions

For this reason, Genesis Global Limited has had its gambling license revoked for an indefinite period. The same had already happened in 2020 when the gambling operator had to surrender its license for three months. The UKGC also has to establish several violations, all of which were later corrected. Due to the significant improvement of Genesis Global, the company got its gambling concession back, but they probably did not learn from the matter. It is now exciting to observe when the gambling company will get its license back.
