Adam Brzehva-Aydukevich

Adam Brzehwa-Aydukiewicz (1894-1954), a certified infantry colonel of the Polish Army. He began his military career in August 1914 in the Eastern Legion, and then in the reserve battalion of the Polish Legions. In 1915, he became commander of a machine gun division in the 1st Battalion of the 4th Infantry Regiment, and held this position in 1917. After refusing to take the oath, he was drafted into the Austrian army. He was an active member of the Polish Military Organization in Galicia.

While serving in the command of the Lviv Brigade, he participated in the defense of Lviv in 1918. In 1924-1946 he served as deputy commander of the 40th Infantry Regiment in Lviv. From September 1926 to May 1927 - Head of the Department of the Inspection Bureau of the Main Directorate of the Armed Forces. In May 1927, he became commander of Marshal Jozef Pilsudski's 66th Kashubian Infantry Regiment. In 1929 he was promoted to the rank of colonel, and in 1931 he received command of the infantry division of the 28th Infantry Division in Warsaw.

In March 1938, he assumed the functions of the 26th Infantry Division in Skierniewice. In 1939, he commanded this division in the battles of the army of "Poznan", and then the army of "Pomerania". After his surrender, he was imprisoned in VIA Murnau prison, released in April 1945. He left for Italy, and in June 1945 joined the 7th Infantry Division.
